Xiaomi’s Pad and laptop product research institute recently opened a Weibo account @不王宗王宗乐 to solicit product opinions from netizens. After receiving a large number of requests from netizens for small-size Pads, the account posted on Weibo on the evening of March 11 to solicit netizens and users’ ideas for an 8-inch Pad.
Netizens also gave their opinions in the comment area, and @不王尊王宗乐 selected a few comments to reply and make further inquiries.
Redmi Marketing Manager @Ethan Zhang Yu also retweeted and commented on the Weibo post yesterday, saying, “There is such a huge demand for 8-inch Pads.”
It is noticed that the 1/2/3/4 generations of Xiaomi Pad were all about 8 inches in size. Only the 10.1-inch Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 Plus was launched in the Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 series, and subsequent iterations of Xiaomi Pad were abandoned. Small size, using the mainstream 11-inch size design.
In today’s Pad market, only Apple and Lenovo, the mainstream manufacturers, have launched “small-size flagship Pads”, namely the iPad mini 6 and the Lenovo Savior Y700. The former is equipped with Apple’s A15 processor, and the latter is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+Gen 1 processor.
