Xiaomi CIVI 1S launched with Snapdragon 778G+, 120Hz AMOLED display

Xiaomi unveiled the Xiaomi CIVI smartphone in September 2021. The female-focused phone came with impressive specs such as a 120Hz AMOLED screen with a curved edge design, Snapdragon 778G, and 64MP triple cameras. Today, the company unveiled the Xiaomi CIVI 1S, an updated version of the original model. The CIVI 1S comes with major changes in departments like the chipset and operating system. The rest of the specs are identical to the original device.

Xiaomi CIVI 1S specifications and features

Starting with the display, the Xiaomi CIVI 1S offers a 6.55-inch AMOLED panel that delivers a Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and 950 nits of brightness. The screen has a centrally positioned punch-hole and curved edges. As far as design is concerned, it sports a slim profile, measuring only 8mm in thickness and weighing 166 grams.

The display punch-hole houses a 32MP selfie camera. The rear camera module of the device has a 64MP camera with an f/1.8 aperture. It is accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera.

The Snapdragon 778G+, which is an overclocked version of the SD778G, is at the helm of the CIVI 1S. It is paired with up to 12GB of LPPDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Under the hood, it features a 4,500mAh battery that supports 55W fast charging.

The smartphone comes preloaded with the Android 12 OS and MIUI 13. The other features available on the device include Dolby Vision support, Gorilla Glass 5 protection, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, dual-frequency GPS, NFC, an IR blaster, a linear motor, and a USB-C port.

Xiaomi CIVI 1S pricing and availability

In China, the Xiaomi CIVI 1S is now available in three models: 8GB RAM + 128GB storage for CNY 2,299 (~$356), 8GB RAM + 256GB storage for CNY 2,599 (~$403), and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage for RMB 2,899 (~$449). It comes in four colors: Shiny Black, Pounding Pink, Light Blue, and Miracle Sunshine. The device is now up for pre-sale in China. The original model never made it to markets outside China. Hence, the 1S is likely to remain exclusive to the home market.
