Renders of the upcoming Xiaomi 13 show that the company is making changes to the design direction for its next-generation premium lineup. According to these renders from CompareDial and OnLeaks, the Xiaomi 13 will have flat sides as well as a flat display. This new design direction is very familiar and is the current trend thanks to the recent generations of iPhones. The front of the phone has a flat surface and relatively sharp edges, and the bezels can be minimal, while there is a centrally located perforated camera on top.
Also, the sides of the phone have been flattened out to create a somewhat squared-off slab-like appearance. However, unlike the iPhone, the back glass still has a slight curve around the edges so it should be easier to grip.
The Xiaomi 13’s camera module has also been updated, once again taking on the familiar large square shape with three lenses in the four corners.
The phone measures 152.8 x 71.5 x 8.3 mm, with the camera bump bringing its thickness to 10.3 mm. The phone will also reportedly run on the latest generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip.
The Xiaomi 13 is expected to launch this month.
