Bloggers’ digital gossip station hinted that Xiaomi 13 Pro main camera is a Sony IMX989 1-inch sensor, and Xiaomi 12S Ultra main camera is consistent, but Xiaomi 13 Pro is not equipped with a periscopic telephoto camera.
As we all know, Sony IMX989 is the first commercial image sensor of Xiaomi 12S Ultra, this Sensor has a 1-inch super bottom, and Xiaomi founder Lei Jun called it the “ceiling”.
It is jointly developed by both Xiaomi and Sony, Lei Jun revealed that the Sony IMX989 development cost $15 million, and Xiaomi and Sony each took half, which is not only a milestone for Xiaomi but also a milestone in the field of mobile imaging.
Compared to the iPhone 13 Pro Max, the Sony IMX989 sensing area is 72% higher and the light-sensitive capability is 76% higher, while the photo speed is 32.5% higher and the boot speed is 11% higher.
With the Sony IMX989, the Xiaomi 13 Pro’s images will be dramatically improved. Not only that, the Xiaomi 13 Pro is also expected to come with an imaging system jointly developed by Xiaomi and Leica.
The camera is expected to offer Leica Classic, Leica Vivid image quality, Leica same custom filters, Leica Classic shutter sound, Leica watermark, etc. will also be presented in full on Xiaomi 13 Pro.
In terms of core configuration, Xiaomi 13 Pro features Samsung 2K E6 flexible curved screen, may debut Snapdragon 8 Gen2 flagship platform, and supports 120W super fast charging.
The machine is expected to be unveiled in November when the mid-cup Xiaomi 13 will also be released on the same stage.
