The code listed by xiaomiui.net shows that since April 25, 2023, Xiaomi has been testing the Android 14 update internally on a number of its devices (sources say the list includes Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13 Pro, Xiaomi Pad 6, Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro). The Android 14 update is being tested internally.
Android 14 is expected to be a major update to the Android operating system, adding a number of new features and improvements to Android 13, with expected features including enhanced privacy, improved notification management and enhanced compatibility with folding screen devices, as well as expected significant improvements to battery life and overall performance.
These internal tests will allow the MIUI 14 system to be upgraded to the underlying Android 14 major version, and Xiaomi has also promised to provide regular updates and security patches to ensure its users’ devices remain secure and up-to-date.
Google will release the Android 14 update in August this year and Xiaomi is expected to further announce its device adaptation plans for MIUI 14 / Android 14.
