This is the same model number as another Xiaomi phone that was included in the IMEI database a few days ago – the Xiaomi 12 Lite. 5G NE.
Interestingly, there are rumors that the Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G NE is the same Xiaomi Civi 2 (2209129SC) that Xiaomi released in China in September and renamed it. Previously there was news that this model might be available at the end of the month, but there was no official announcement until now.
It’s worth mentioning that Xiaomi’s Civi phones are usually an exclusive series for the Chinese market, but we can’t rule out the possibility that Xiaomi will decide to release them for the global market as well, starting with the Civi 2.
The Xiaomi Civi 2 features a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with curved edges. It offers FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Dual selfie camera with 32MP + 32MP on the front. Rear 50MP primary camera, 20MP ultra wide-angle camera, and 2MP macro camera.
The Xiaomi Civi 2 is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chip with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. It has a built-in 4500mAh battery and supports 67W fast charging.
Note that in July this year, the Xiaomi 12 Lite International Edition was released with a Snapdragon 778G chip based on 6nm architecture with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The phone features a 6.55-inch AMOLED screen with support for 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.
