Xiaomi founder, chairman and CEO Lei Jun announced in the middle of this month that Xiaomi’s new flagship is the first to be equipped with the second-generation Snapdragon 8 mobile platform, but did not announce the specific product model. Now, with the Xiaomi 13 series & MIUI 14 new product launch scheduled, Xiaomi officially announced that the Xiaomi 13 series is equipped with the second generation of Snapdragon 8.
Xiaomi says the new second-generation Snapdragon 8 CPU has 37 percent better multi-core performance and 42 percent better GPU performance, the best performance ever from Snapdragon.
As Qualcomm Snapdragon’s latest flagship processor, the second-generation Snapdragon 8 mobile platform uses a 4nm process and a new 1+2+2+3 architecture, including a 3.2GHz Cortex-X3-based Kryo super core, four 2.8GHz performance cores (2×Cortex A715+2×Cortex A710) and three 2.0GHz Cortex-A510 energy efficiency cores.
The Xiaomi 13 series & MIUI 14 new product launch will be held on December 1 at 7pm. At that time, Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro dual-size flagship phones will be officially unveiled.
From the official poster, Xiaomi 13 standard version for straight screen, custom high-end OLED straight screen, visual four equal edges; Pro version is a double curved screen.
