Xiaomi 12T Pro will use a 200MP camera sensor and Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1

The Xiaomi 12T Pro will use the Samsung 200MP camera sensor, this makes Xiaomi the second company in line to use the sensor.

For some time Samsung has been working on a 200MP sensor, this will be used on the Xiaomi 12T Pro. The aid sensor became official a few weeks ago, and Samsung showed it off on their YouTube channel. This is the first of its kind, and we know a few devices that’d use this sensor.

Xiaomi is one company that’d use this 200MP sensor on its coming flagship device. The said device will launch this year, although we aren’t sure when. It’d launch under the Xiaomi 12 series, and reports say it’d be available in most regions.

The Xiaomi 12S series has already launched and will only be available in China. Unlike this series, the Xiaomi 12T Pro will be available not only in China and will also come with flagship specifications. Asides from its massive camera sensor, it’ll also use the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. There is no other information regarding the features of this device apart from the processor and sensor.

It’s important to note that this future Xiaomi flagship would not be the first to use the Samsung 200MP sensor. The Motorola Moto X30 Pro will be the first device to launch with the 200MP sensor. This device from Motorola will launch in the month of July with a trifocal length on all three rear-camera sensors.

The Xiaomi device that’ll launch using this sensor will launch alongside other devices in the 12T series. The Pro model of this series might be the only device that’d use the 200MP sensor. According to available information, this device will come with a price tag of 13-15 million Vietnamese dong (~$556-642).
