We understand that the coming Xiaomi 12T Pro will use a 200MP camera sensor. This sensor type saw its debut on the Motorola Moto X30, which became official last week. Now, Xiaomi might become the second smartphone to make use of this camera sensor.
Our sources shared a photo of the said Xiaomi device that will make of this 200MP camera sensor. The only part of the device the photo from our sources show is the camera cutout on the back of this coming device. Giving this photo a close look, you will notice the 200MP write-up on the camera bump just below the camera flash.

As we know, the 200MP sensor on the Motorola Moto X30 is from Samsung and this might be the same sensor on the Xiaomi 12T Pro. We can make this conclusion since the competitors are yet to announce their 200MP sensors. So, if the launch of this Xiaomi device is close, it will certainly use Samsung’s 200MP camera sensor.
We aren’t sure when this device will launch, but our sources are certain that it’ll use the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. Asides from the 200MP sensor, this Xiaomi 12T Pro will come with two secondary cameras which will not be up to par with the main sensor. The two secondary cameras might be 8MP and 2MP, possibly an ultra-wide and a macro/depth sensor.
We also know that this same camera sensor will be in use on Samsung’s coming flagship device. This device will launch next year, while the Xiaomi 12T Pro might launch sometime towards the end of this year. The said Xiaomi device will not bear the tag of a flagship device but will launch in the mid-range flagship device segment.
