Xiaomi has finally launched its much-awaited annual masterpiece flagship of 2022, the Xiaomi 12S Pro. The device offers many breakthrough innovations and top-of-the-line specifications. It brings a noticeable upgrade in the camera department, as the brand has announced it’s a partnership with Leica for the camera department.
Xiaomi 12S Ultra Specifications
Xiaomi 12S Ultra has got a gorgeous 6.73-inches E5 AMOLED panel with QHD+ 1440*3200 pixel resolution with support for AdaptiveSync Pro which can intelligently switch the refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz depending upon usage. It further comes with support for Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. It is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 chipset.
The camera is one of the most highlighted parts of the device. It comes with triple rear cameras with a massive 1-inch 23mm 50MP Sony IMX989 primary camera sensor with support for OIS. It’s the biggest camera sensor one can ever get on a smartphone. The lens in front of the 1-inch sensor is an 8P element lens, addressing issues like a flare, chromatic aberration, and ghosting.
The rest two cameras are 48MP 13mm f/2.2 ultrawide and 48MP 120mm f/4.1 periscope, both the cameras are powered by a Sony IMX IMX586 1/2.0-inch sensor. The 12S Ultra is the first smartphone in the world of Android to support Dolby Vision video recording. Overall, it’s very powerful camera hardware and we expect top-notch performance.
It has got a 4860mAh battery with support for 67W wired and 50W wireless charging. It has been said that they had to stick to 67W, instead of 120W, because of some motherboard issues. Additional specifications include dual stereo speakers support, all-new 3D liquid cooling technology and IP68 dust and water resistance rating. It will boot up on MIUI 13 based on Android 12 out of the box.
Xiaomi 12S Ultra Price and Availablity
The Xiaomi 12S Ultra will be priced at CNY 5999, CNY 6,499 and CNY 6999 for the 8GB+256GB, 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB respectively. It comes in Classic Black and Verdant Green with a Leather-like rear finish. There are no words on the availability and sales details of the smartphone yet.
