Xiaomi has released the long-awaiting Xiaomi 12S series of smartphones in China. Xiaomi 12S and Xiaomi 12S Pro are just incremental updates over the last year’s Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro. While the main focus of the enthusiasts goes for the top-tier Xiaomi 12S Ultra. Let’s have a complete look at the specifications of the device.
Xiaomi 12S Specifications and Price
Starting off with the display, the Xiaomi 12S flaunts a 6.28-inches Super AMOLED display with FHD+ 1080*2400 pixel resolution, up to 120Hz refresh rate, 1100 nits of peak brightness, support for Dolby Vision and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 chipset coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of onboard storage.
As for the optics, it has got an upgraded 50MP Sony IMX709 primary camera paired with a 13MP secondary ultrawide and 5MP telephoto macro sensor. It has got a 32MP front selfie snapper housed in centre aligned punch-hole cutout. All the devices in the series come with the integration of Leica imaging in the photography department.

The Xiaomi 12S Pro has an upgraded 6.73-inches Super AMOLED display with QHD+ 1440*3200 pixel resolution, LTPO 2nd generation with up to 120Hz refresh rate, 1500 nits of peak brightness, Dolby Vision and HDR 10+ certification. It is powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 chipset paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of onboard storage.
The brand has packed triple rear cameras in the device with a 50MP Sony IMX 709 primary camera sensor, 50MP secondary ultrawide and 50MP telephoto lens with 2X optical zoom support. Front hs 32MP selfie snapper. It is powered by a 4600mAh battery coupled with 120W wired and 50W wireless charging support.
Both the devices will boot up on MIUI 13 based on Android 12 right out of the box. They further have support for Dual SIM, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS based location tracking, IR blaster, NFC, and a USB Type-C port.
