Xiaomi 12 Ultra specs leaked, expected to launch with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset

There are a lot of rumors surrounding the upcoming Xiaomi 12 Ultra in the last few weeks. There was no concrete news on the device, but the speculation was at a high point, as it is one of the most anticipated Xiaomi devices of the year that will be replacing the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra. Earlier today, a tipster named Yogesh Brar shared a few possible specs of the upcoming Xiaomi device, fueling the anticipation even more.

Yogesh Brar is a well-known tipster. He is consistent and his predictions have been proven quite a few times. Earlier today, he posted a tweet informing the spec of the upcoming Xiaomi 12 Ultra.

Xiaomi 12 Ultra specifications (rumored)

According to the specs sheet, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will be powered by the latest offering from Qualcomm; the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.

The smartphone will offer 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM paired with 256GB or 512GB of internal storage. The phone will not have a dedicated slot for MicroSD cards but an additional slot for the nano-SIM card has been added. The device also supports the 5G network.

The 12 Ultra will possibly feature a gigantic 6.7” QHD+ AMOLED screen with a 120 Hz resolution. The LTPO technology has been used on the mobile for better battery life and smooth refresh rates. The display will likely be curved and there will be a punch-hole cutout. The device is also expected to have the newest Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

In the camera department, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra is expected to feature a triple camera module at the back. There will be a 50MP primary camera leading the charge along with a 48MP ultrawide lens and a 48MP telephoto lens with 5X zoom. The camera is also expected to feature a ToF sensor and a laser autofocus sensor.

Finally, the 12 Ultra is supposedly coming with a 4,800 mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. The device will probably feature a USB Type-C port for wired charging with 50W support. And this is expected to be one of the most expensive Xiaomi smartphones ever.
