Xiaomi 12 Ultra CAD renders emerge, here’s the first look at the actual design

Recent reports have leaked a lot of information about the Xiaomi 12 Ultra, which is expected to launch in July in China. The design of the flagship phone has been leaked through case renders a couple of times in the past. A fresh leak has revealed the front and rear designs of the Xiaomi 12 Ultra.

Reliable tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer has collaborated with Zouton to share the CAD renders of the much-awaited Xiaomi 12 Ultra. According to the leak, the Xiaomi flagship measures around 161.9 x 74.3 x 9.5mm. So, in terms of dimensions, it is a bit smaller and thicker than the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, which measures 164.3 x 74.6 x 8.4mm.

It has a curved edge AMOLED display on the front with a punch-hole placed at the top-centre position. It may house a 6.6-inch display, which is smaller than the 6.73-inch AMOLED screen available on the Xiaomi 12 Pro.

Gone is the secondary display from the backside of the Xiaomi 12 Ultra. The round-shaped camera housing has as many as eight holes, which may house a triple or quadruple-camera unit. The Leica logo, born out of the Xiaomi-Leica partnership, can be seen next to the camera module. Around the edges, the 12 Ultra features dual speakers, a SIM slot, an IR blaster, microphones, and a USB-C port.

Rumors have it that the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset will be powering the Xiaomi 12 Ultra. It is expected to support Quad HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It will come equipped with a 5,000mAh battery that carries support for 120W fast charging. It is also expected to support wireless charging.
