The cheapest model in the Xiaomi 12 lineup, the Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G, has been unveiled by Xiaomi. The Xiaomi 12 Lite device has been officially unveiled on the Xiaomi Azerbaijan Instagram account (the post has been taken down). However, neither a price nor any official specifications have been released. On the other hand, the Redaksiya website has exposed the full list of the device’s specs and cost. According to reports, the device is also available for pre-order in the country.
Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G Specifications (Rumoured)
The Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G will flaunt a 6.55-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with 120Hz high refresh rate, HDR10+ certification and, possibly, a side punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. It will utilize the same chipset that has been previously used in the Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G, i.e., Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G. It is expected that the device will feature up to 8GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.
As for the optics, it will have a triple rear camera setup with a 108-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel secondary ultrawide and a 2-megapixel macro at last. There will be a 32-megapixel front-facing selfie snapper. It may have a 4300mAh battery with 67W fast wired charging support, which is a clear upgrade over the Xiaomi 11 Lite NE.
Additionally, the device will boot up on Android 12-based MIUI 13 right out of the box. The device will be as light as just 173 gms. It may launch in three different colour variants; blue, black and pink.
Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G Price (Rumoured)
The device will soon launch in a few selected markets around the world. The 12 Lite is said to be priced similarly to the Xiaomi 11 Lite/NE. The device will go on sale in Azerbaijan for AZN 999 (roughly $590), according to the sources. The price of the predecessor’s vanilla variant at launch was under $450. Take this with a grain of salt because the price will undoubtedly vary based on the market. The device may very well cost less than $500.
