According to Xi’an Economic Development News, Longteng’s 8-inch power semiconductor manufacturing project is expected to go into operation in October this year, with an annual production capacity of 3.6 million pieces of 8-inch silicon epitaxial wafers.
It is reported that Longteng 8-inch power semiconductor manufacturing project belongs to Xi’an Longwei Semiconductor Co., Ltd, a provincial-level semiconductor and integrated circuit industry chain “chain master” enterprise, which owns the only 8-inch epitaxial wafer production line in Xi’an and is the only high-power semiconductor industry chain enterprise integrating design, R&D, production, manufacturing and testing in Xi’an.
The project has a total construction area of 50,500 square meters and will purchase and introduce 160 sets of epitaxial furnaces, lithography machines, injection machines and testing instruments. The project will build advanced power semiconductor engineering research center and reliability engineering laboratory, which can realize the import substitution of MOSFET, IGBT and other power semiconductor products. In addition, Longteng 8-inch power semiconductor manufacturing project is a key construction project of Xi’an City in 2022.
