X (Twitter) CEO Linda Yaccarino said during a speech at Vox Media’s Code 2023 technology conference that X currently has 225 million daily active users , a decrease of tens of millions, or 11.6%, compared with before the acquisition by Elon Musk.
After the meeting, X adjusted its daily active user count to 245 million, The Information reported. Linda Yaccarino mentioned “200-250 million” daily active users in the interview before specifically saying that X has 225 million active users. She also said X has a community of 50,000 and has seen an increase in participation since June.
It is learned from X that the week before Elon Musk took over Twitter had 254.5 million daily active users, and even with the revised numbers, X still lost millions of daily active users, about 3.7 percent, compared to the week before Elon Musk’s acquisition.
She further said that X currently has a record 550 million monthly active users, which would be higher than the 541 million “monthly users” metric Elon Musk shared in his July post.
