Windows 11 Build 23419 preview version hidden features

Twitter users and Microsoft watchers @PhantomOfEarth recently dug deeper into the recently released Win11 Build 23419 preview update and found that you can hide the time and date in the system tray by modifying the registry.

Another user @thebookisclosed also shared the effect after finishing modifying the registry. After enabling it, the “Hide time and date in system tray” option was added to the time and date option in the Settings app.

In Build 25300, there were strings related to “Hide taskbar clock”, “Hide time and date in system tray” and “Open this to hide time and date information in the corner of the taskbar”. and date information in the corner of the taskbar”.

The relevant steps are as follows:

1. Open the Registry Editor
2. Go to the HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced path
3. create a new 32-bit DWORD value named HideSystrayDateTimeValueName
