Wikipedia recently issued a press release stating that the Sound of all Human Knowledge contest has come to an end. Thaddeus Osborne’s entry was voted on by many Wikipedia volunteers and is the final winner.

The “Voice of All Knowledge” contest received 2,094 entries from 135 countries and territories around the world to enhance the Wikipedia brand with a Netflix-like sound logo. Wikipedia is expected to launch the new sound logo in June of this year.

The official description of Wikipedia is attached as follows:
Sound logos, also known as sound brands or sound trademarks, use a small segment of sound to represent a brand in audiovisual and pure audio settings.
They are growing in popularity with the global rise of audio technology, with the number of active voice assistant users growing from 544.1 million users in 2015 to 2.6 billion users by 2021.
Wikimedia projects such as Wikipedia and Wikidata are increasingly powering general knowledge queries on other websites and voice-assisted devices. A voice logo helps ensure that listeners know when they are accessing knowledge from Wikipedia or Wikimedia sites anywhere online.
