Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced on Facebook that WhatsApp has introduced a new feature of screen sharing during video calls, which is applicable to Android, iOS and Windows platforms. Aims to improve competitiveness with apps like Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams.

After the WhatsApp call is connected, the user can choose to share a specific app or the entire screen with the person in the call by clicking the “Share” icon at the bottom of the screen. This feature will be rolled out in stages soon. Video calls now support landscape mode, allowing users to get a wider field of view.
