Wang Hua responds to the shaking issue of variable aperture in Xiaomi 13 Ultra: normal physical phenomenon

Xiaomi’s new generation of imaging flagship Mi 13 Ultra was officially launched. This phone is Xiaomi’s first model equipped with a one-inch variable aperture. The main camera aperture value can be set at f/1.9. -f / 4.0 Switch between two gears. However, some users found that when the Mi 13 Ultra was shaken, the main camera aperture structure would also shake after they got the new phone. In response to this, Wang Hua, general manager of Xiaomi’s public relations department, responded that this shaking is a normal physical phenomenon, and users can use it with confidence.

In addition, Wang Hua also conducted popular science on the variable aperture. He said: “The variable aperture is a mechanical structure. When the phone camera is not activated, the variable aperture mechanism is in a power-off state. At this time, shaking the phone may trigger its mechanism. The structure is displaced, which is a normal physical phenomenon. When the camera is started to shoot, the iris mechanism will be powered on and reset, and the aperture will automatically return to its default working state.”

In response to the problem that other phones equipped with variable apertures did not shake, Wang Hua said: “Because the technical means we adopt are inconsistent with each other and the design structure is also inconsistent, Xiaomi Mi 13Ultra has been developed through our in-depth cooperation with Leica. Judging that this is currently the most suitable The micro-variable aperture solution of the Leica Sumicron lens is also the best solution based on our current large cmos.”

Xiaomi 13 Ultra

According to previous reports, the rear of Mi 13 Ultra adopts a four-camera module design, which are 50MP rear main camera (Sony IMX989, OIS, f/1.9-f/4.0 aperture two-stop variable), 50MP ultra-wide-angle ( Sony IMX858, f/1.8), 50MP portrait telephoto (Sony IMX858, OIS, f/1.8, 3.2X), and 50MP periscope telephoto (Sony IMX858, OIS, f/3.0, 5X). With the blessing of the second-generation Leica Color Science, a new street shooting mode and Leica custom image quality have been added. In addition, the camera module of this phone can also be converted to a 67mm filter through an adapter ring.
