Volkswagen’s new electric vehicle ID.AERO is officially presented at the 5th China Import and Export Fair

The fifth China International Import Expo was held from November 5 to November 10 as scheduled, and major companies have shown their latest achievements and latest products.

For example, Volkswagen Group brought five pure electric models, including the flagship ID.AERO of the future ID family, the flagship RS e-tron GT of Audi’s pure electric sports, and the locally produced “Roadjet land machine” Audi Q5 e-tron. By the end of 2022, Audi will offer seven new energy models in the Chinese market.

In addition, two pure electric models – Porsche’s first pure electric concept car, the Mission R, and the Taycan Cross Turismo – were on display at the Porsche booth, with the Porsche Mission R concept car making its Asian debut.

AERO, a new generation of luxury concept car, will be launched in mass production next year and positioned as an all-electric mid-size sedan, which is also the first all-electric sedan of the Volkswagen ID. family, based on the MEB platform.

In terms of appearance, the new car basically continues the design concept of the ID family. For example, the luminous Volkswagen logo leads to a curved daytime running light strip, connecting the unique headlight group shape on both sides, while the front bumper has an additional trapezoidal lower grille and There are three-point fog lights on the left and right sides of the intake duct light source, as well as through-type tail lights, with a drag coefficient of 0.23.

According to previous official information, the ID.AERO concept car has a size of 4975/1897/1528mm and a wheelbase of 2966mm, which seems to be higher and larger than the previous VW413.

There is no known information on the interior and power. You can refer to the ID.6 and ID.4 models that have been listed before. Some media speculate that the new car will still be equipped with Volkswagen’s signature 77kwh battery pack, and the pure electric cruising range under WLTP conditions can reach 620km.

In addition, the high-end users of @IThome also took spy photos of the suspected ID.Aero real car road test, you can take a look.
