Volkswagen said Saturday that the company’s leadership will meet on Monday to discuss a planned public offering of its Porsche brand. The company said in an announcement that it has conducted a feasibility study for an IPO and that the management board and supervisory board will discuss whether it should seek an IPO “in late September/early October 2022” at several meetings on Monday.
Volkswagen has been working for months to move forward with plans to take a minority stake in the Porsche brand public this year, in what could become one of the biggest IPOs ever in Europe. However, tough market conditions have largely stalled the IPO plans.
