According to the announcement of the State Administration for Market Regulation today, SAIC Volkswagen Co., Ltd., in accordance with the requirements of the “Regulations on the Administration of the Recall of Defective Automobile Products” and the “Implementation Measures for the Regulations on the Administration of the Recall of Defective Automobile Products”, submitted to the State Market Supervision The General Administration has filed a recall plan and has decided to recall the following vehicles effective August 4, 2023:

Selected 2020-2022 Polo Plus 1.5L vehicles built between October 12, 2020 and March 17, 2022, totaling 57,659 units.
Part of the 2020-2022 T-CROSS 1.5L vehicles produced between October 12, 2020 and March 25, 2022, a total of 25,838 vehicles.

Among the 83,497 vehicles recalled this time, due to the deviation of the supplier’s production process, the gap between the impeller of the fuel pump and the impeller housing is small, the surface roughness of the impeller is relatively large, and gasoline deposits tend to accumulate between the impeller of the fuel pump and the housing of the impeller, causing the impeller to rotate If it is not smooth, the fuel pump is not working well. In extreme cases, it may cause the vehicle to lose power, and there are potential safety hazards.
SAIC Volkswagen stated that it will replace the improved fuel pumps for vehicles within the recall range free of charge to eliminate potential safety hazards.
Note: Today, the State Administration for Market Regulation issued a number of car recall announcements, including Tesla, Toyota, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen and other brands.
