Vivo has launched its new budget-oriented smartphone in India. The all-new Vivo Y22 with MediaTek chipset and some pretty decent set of specifications such 50-megapixels primary camera, a 5000mAh battery, and much more has been launched officially in the country. Let’s have a closer look at the device’s specifications and price.

Starting from the display, the Vivo Y22 flaunts a 6.55-inches IPS LCD panel with HD+ 1080*720 pixel resolution and a peak brightness of up to 530 nits. Eye Protection Mode, which effectively reduces blue light emission and favours warm colours, is also supported by the display. Under the hood, it is powered by a MediaTek MT6769 chipset coupled with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard internal storage.
As for photography and videography, it comes with a dual rear camera setup with a 50-megapixels primary wide sensor and a 2-megapixels secondary depth sensor. On the front, we have an 8-megapixels front-facing selfie camera. The device packs a 5000mAh battery with the support for 18W fast wired charging.

Additional specifications of the device include the presence of a 3.5mm headphone jack, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for the security of the device, a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer, dual-band WiFi, a Hotspot, Bluetooth and GPS location tracking support. It supports storage expansion using microSD cards up to 1TB.
Vivo Y22; pricing and variants
Vivo Y22 comes in one and only 4GB+64GB variant in the country. The 4GB variant is priced at INR 14,499 (~$183). Customers can receive a cashback of up to Rs 1,000 on their purchase if they have an SBI, Kotak Mahindra, or One Card credit card. Throughout reality, customers would pay a mere Rs 13,499 for the phone.
