Vivo X90 Pro Plus latest score revealed, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 multi-core score exceeds 5100

Qualcomm released the second-generation Snapdragon 8 mobile platform at the 2022 Snapdragon Technology Summit on November 16, and now a new Vivo phone equipped with this platform has appeared on the Geekbench benchmark website.

The model number of this Vivo phone is V2227A and according to previous news, this should be the Vivo X90 Pro+. The score shows that it has 12GB of RAM, a single-core score of 1480 and a multi-core score of 5106.

The architecture of the second-generation Snapdragon 8 mobile platform has changed from the original “1+3+4” to “1+2+2+3”, and the main core has been updated to Cortex-X3’s Kryo Super large core with a main frequency of 3.2GHz. The four performance cores are two Cortex A715 and two Cortex A710 with a frequency of 2.8GHz. The three energy efficiency cores are Cortex A510 with a frequency of 2.0GHz. Compared with the previous generation, the second-generation Snapdragon 8 mobile platform has a 35% increase in computing speed and a 40% reduction in power consumption. At the same time, the second-generation Snapdragon 8 mobile platform upgrades the GPU again, using the latest Adreno 740 to improve performance by 25%, energy efficiency by 45%, support Vulkan 1.3, and support hardware-level ray tracing technology.

In terms of imaging functions, the second-generation Snapdragon 8 mobile platform deeply introduces AI algorithms, realizing real-time semantic segmentation and automatic enhancement of photos and videos. In addition, the second-generation Snapdragon 8 supports Snapdragon Sound technology, supports spatial audio through dynamic head tracking, supports 48kHz lossless music streaming, and ultra-low latency of 48 milliseconds.

Chen Jin, general manager of Lenovo’s mobile phone business department in China, also announced for the first time the Antutu running score of the moto X40 equipped with the second-generation Snapdragon 8 mobile platform. The running score soared to 1312901 points, easily Exceeded 1.31 million.
