Vivo X Fold Plus may launch instead of Vivo X Fold S; here’s why!

The Vivo X Fold S is hovering around the rumours for the last few weeks. The device will debut as the latest foldable smartphone the Chinese tech giant Vivo. Now, adding a twist to it, a new report has emerged online that claims that Vivo X Fold S might launch as Vivo X Fold Plus. The smartphone is going to be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 SoC. It may also get a 2K LTP primary display support.

Vivo X Fold Plus; originally, the Vivo X Fold S

Known tipster Digital Chat Station via Chinese microblogging platform Weibo has shared a report on the upcoming Vivo X Fold Plus device. He says that the upcoming foldable smartphone from the house of Vivo will be formally known as Vivo X Fold Plus, instead of what we used to call it before as Vivo X Fold S. No changes have been done to the specifications of the device, it’s just what we used to know as Vivo X Fold S before.

Adding more to it, the camera specifications of the upcoming foldable smartphone have also been tipped. The report claims that Vivo X Fold Plus will have a quad rear camera setup with a 50-megapixels primary wide lens, a 48-megapixels secondary ultrawide angle lens, a 12-megapixels portrait lens and an 8-megapixels telephoto zoom lens last. The device may have a 16-megapixels front selfie snapper.

Going through the previous reports, the smartphone has been said to be powered by the latest flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 SoC. It will gather power from an in-built 4700mAh battery which will further support 80W wired charging technology and up to 50W wireless charging support. Moreover, a primary 2K LTPO display with 120Hz high refresh rate support is expected from the device.
