Vivo T2x launched with 144Hz display, 6,000mAh battery: specifications, price

For the last few weeks, several leaks and rumors indicated that Vivo is getting ready to launch the newest member of its T series smartphones. The launch was expected to happen in June but the company made an early announcement and launched the Vivo T2x in China. The device is carrying a Dimensity 1300 processor, 144Hz display, and 44W fast charging.

The successor of the Vivo T1x is coming with more than decent specs compared to its price range. The device features a 6.58” IPS LCD screen with a 144Hz refresh rate. The device also has a touch sampling rate of 240Hz. The screen has a peak brightness of 650 nits, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, and DC Dimming.  

The Vivo T2x is powered by the latest Dimensity 1300 5G SoC from MediaTek paired with 8GB of LPDDR4x. The device is also equipped with UFS 3.1 enhanced internal storage, up to 256GB. 

The New Vivo T2x

At the back, T2x sports a dual-camera setup. There’s a 50MP main camera and a 2MP macro lens. At the front of the device, there’s a tear-drop notch and it houses a 16MP camera for selfies and video calls. 

Lastly, Vivo T2x has a massive 6,000 mAh battery under the hood. The battery is coming with 44W fast charging and 6W reverse wired charging. According to Vivo, the T2x can deliver 20 hours of continuous video playback and you can charge 50% of the battery within 35 minutes. 

Vivo T2x price and availability 

Vivo T2x is currently available in China for pre-order. Two variants of Vivo T2x are available for purchase. The first variant comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It is priced at 1,699 yuan ($254). The second variant also comes with 8GB of RAM and internal storage of 256GB. This one is priced at 1,899 yuan ($284).

There’s also an introductory offer from Vivo, that cuts the price of both of the devices by 100 yuan.  

At the moment, Vivo T2x is available only in China. The device is available for pre-orders and Vivo will start shipping on 12th June. Vivo may launch this device on the global market at a later date but that information is yet to be announced.
