Valve Releases Steam Deck High-Temperature Play Warning Over 105°C Will Automatically Shut Down

As the temperature continues to rise in many places in the world, Valve began to make reminders for Steam Deck users, hoping that we can play at the right temperature. Too high a temperature can also lead to Steam Deck automatically shutting down. Players who have some understanding of electronic devices know that these little things are more sensitive to temperature.

On the official social media, Valve said that the Steam Deck also works normally at the right temperature like other devices, but if used in a hot environment, then the Steam Deck’s performance will be affected or even shut down automatically.

According to Valve, the Steam Deck can be used normally in an environment of 0-35°C. The device will down-regulate its performance to ensure normal use in high-temperature environments, but the Steam Deck will automatically shut down if the APU temperature exceeds 105°C to protect the device from damage.

It seems that the summer is still the most enjoyable to play games in the air-conditioned room!
