Valve today released the Steam hardware and software survey report for January 2023. From the operating system point of view, the Linux player share did not change, the number of macOS players compared to last month increased by 0.13 percentage points, the current share of 2.61%.
Windows is still the most popular operating system among gamers, with a 96.02% share on the list. However, from the breakdown, the share of 64-bit Win10 dropped by 1.96 percentage points to 63.46%, while the share of 64-bit Win11 increased by 1.91 percentage points to 30.33%.
The market share of 64-bit Win7 decreased by 0.06 percentage points to 1.60%, while the share of 32-bit Win7 remained unchanged, with the total share of Win7 now standing at 1.71%.
The popularity of Linux systems among gamers did not change, remaining at 1.38% this month.
