A few years back, at the time of Donald Trump, the US government banned Huawei from accessing some of its services which resulted in the brand being getting deteriorated over time. The brand which used to fight face to face with tech giants like Samsung and Apple now doesn’t even is visible among the top 5 smartphone manufacturers across the globe. The sanction imposed by the US government crippled their business and now, we are getting another report which could be good news for the brand.
US might relax some of its sanctions imposed on the Huawei
As soon as Joe Biden got elected as the new president of the country, and the new government formed as the ruling elite, a new hope emerged among the users that the new government may uplift its restriction on Huawei. According to the latest report shared by reputed publication Bloomberg, the US Commerce Department’s Bureau of Industry and Security has issued the latest notice which allows certain low-level technologies to be used by the brand. Huawei might now use some technologies from the US. However, the total sanction has not been uplifted yet.
Alan Estevez, Secretary of Industry and Security, said: “U.S. stakeholders need to be fully involved in the organizations that set international standards, especially if the important but sometimes invisible standards they set If it has important implications beyond just security.”, this could be positive news for Chinese smartphone makers in the near future.
