Upcoming Motorola Razr (Maven) hands-on video leaked, launch seems imminent

Motorola is reportedly working on its next Razr clamshell. The original Razr that debuted in 2019 was a mid-range device powered by the Snapdragon 710 SoC. In 2020, the company unveiled the Snapdragon 765G powered Razr 5G. According to a recent leak, the next Razr phone will be available with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and 8+ Gen 1 chipsets. Now, reputed tipster Evan Blass has released a leaked video of the upcoming Razr phone, which has the “Maven” codename. It gives a good look at its front and rear design.

Reports have claimed that the Motorola Razr will feature a 6.7-inch foldable screen that offers a Full HD+ resolution, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a 120Hz refresh rate. It will be equipped with a 3-inch cover display. Both displays are larger than the inner and cover displays of the predecessor models.  

The upcoming Razr will feature a 32-megapixel front-facing camera and a 50-megapixel (main) + 13-megapixel (ultrawide) dual rear cameras. The device will arrive with 12 GB of RAM, 512 GB of storage, and a 2,800mAh battery. It is likely to arrive in Quartz Black and Tranquil Blue colors.

In related news, Motorola will be launching the world’s first 200-megapixel camera flagship powered by the SD8+G1 chip in July. The aforementioned device is expected to arrive in the global markets with the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra moniker. It appears that the Razr flagship may arrive a few months after the Edge 30 Ultra. Hence, it may debut in July or August.
