Canonical released a Linux kernel security update for all supported Ubuntu distributions today, fixing 17 security vulnerabilities in total.
This update is for Ubuntu 22.10, Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, and Ubuntu 20.04 LTS users, with 3 vulnerabilities affecting all Ubuntu versions.
Attached are 3 main vulnerabilities as follows:
CVE-2023-1281: use-after-free vulnerability in Traffic Control Index (TCINDEX) CVE-2022-47929: Null pointer dereference in network queuing discipline CVE-2023-26545: double-free vulnerability in MPLS implementation
Local attackers can exploit the above vulnerabilities to attack Ubuntu 22.10, Ubuntu 22.04 and Ubuntu 20.04 LTS distributions, causing denial of service (system crash) or executing arbitrary code.
