Ubisoft’s FPS XDefiant Breaks 1 Million Players in Closed Beta

The official Twitter feed of XDefiant has announced that Ubisoft’s free FPS game XDefiant has surpassed 1 million players in its closed beta and will open a new beta today.

The news is that XDefiant opens a closed beta on April 14 for Xbox One, XSS|X, PS4, PS5 and PC platforms.

The beta is open to four camps – Free Arms, Shadow Squad, Echelon and Purifier – with four modes and thirteen maps – Escort, Area Control, Stronghold and Occupy.

Players can choose to experience the game from 4 camps inspired by Ubisoft’s game IP, namely: Purifier (The Division), Free Arms (Far Cry 6), Echelon (Split Cell) and Shadow Squad (Ghost Recon: Mirage). Each faction contains 3 characters, but currently only 1 character will be unlocked. Other characters can be unlocked through quests. Although the game progress of this event will not be retained in the official release version, players can keep the more than 10 exclusive decorative props obtained in the official version.

Unchained Alliance closed beta features:

  • All 14 maps that will be included in the game at launch
  • 4 camps inspired by Ubisoft’s game IP
  • 24 weapons
  • 44 accessories
  • 5 types of explosive equipment
