Ubisoft will discontinue the online services of 10 old games on multiple platforms on January 25, 2024, including “Assassin’s Creed 2”, “Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood” and “Splinter Cell: Conviction”, etc., will not affect normal play.

Ubisoft said that shutting down online services for some older games will allow it to focus resources on updating players or providing a great experience for players of more popular games. The decision to shut down a game’s online service always takes into account the player base, including their level of interest in the game. The offline functionality of the game is not affected and players can still use it.
