According to gamesindustry, Ubisoft has opened its new global creative office yesterday, which the company says will boost the team’s creativity and ensure the delivery of high-quality games. The organization will focus on its own areas of expertise, such as users, game design and technology.
Ubisoft said a centralized creative company could better support the company’s various divisions. In addition, the announcement said that Chief Creative Officer Igor Manceau will leave Ubisoft at the end of next month.
Manceau will work with Marie-Sophie de Waubert, senior vice president of the studio, Martin Schelling, senior vice president, and Sandrine Caloiaro, chief portfolio officer, to improve the creative office. Guillemette Picard, senior vice president and managing director of the studio, will also work with the team, and will temporarily manage the global creative office following Manceau’s resignation.
Ubisoft said that in a rapidly evolving industry, companies must constantly adapt to their environment. The team is grateful for Igor’s contributions to refining Ubisoft’s creative approach and for bringing many new ideas to the company’s creative approach.
