According to the netizen @flobo09’s feedback, after the Twitter name change X, triggered Microsoft Edge browser anti-phishing function, reminding users that the “official” application may be fake.
Edge Browser sends a reminder to users: “If this web app is trying to trick you into thinking it’s an official app, please uninstall it.”
Users tried to reproduce the alert, but after reinstalling the X app, it is not currently experiencing the alert.
Musk is actively promoting the operation of Twitter name change, at present the Android and iOS version of the application has been renamed to X.
