Turtle Beach, a leading gaming accessory manufacturer, has announced that it will release a new Xbox gamepad next month, the Recon Cloud, a wireless version of the currently available Recon USB-C gamepad in a new “blue magma” color scheme that pairs with Android devices and Windows PCs via Bluetooth. It pairs with Android devices and Windows PCs via Bluetooth.

The Recon Cloud gamepad will retail for $99.99 and will be available for purchase on October 16. The Recon Cloud is significantly overpriced as the official retail price for the wired version of the Recon is currently $59.95, with a sale low of $45.

The Recon Cloud has a built-in rechargeable battery that allows up to 30 hours of playtime in Bluetooth connectivity mode, and the controller also supports fast charging, with about 8.5 hours of use on a 15-minute charge. It also includes a month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and an adjustable phone clip – which attaches to a mounting port on the back of the controller.

The Recon Cloud also inherits all the audio and FPS-friendly features of the standard Recon, such as a superhuman listening mode, four built-in audio EQ presets, microphone monitoring, adjustable audio mixing for game chat, Pro-Aim Focus mode, and two programmable rear buttons. Those fancy audio features require you to plug in USB-C on your Xbox or PC, which is probably forgivable since game streaming isn’t really ideal for online shooters since they’re the most helpful anyway.
