GAC Trumpchi recently announced its September sales results: a total of 37,286 units, of which 16,044 were of the MPV family.
The official data is as follows:
- From January to September this year, the cumulative sales of Trumpchi MPV models were nearly 120,000 units, a cumulative year-on-year increase of 60.9%, ranking first in the Chinese MPV market.
- In September, the sales volume of the MPV family exceeded 10,000 for eight consecutive months, including 11,832 “luxury MPV” models (M8/E9). It claims to have topped the sales list of Chinese brand luxury MPVs and has ranked first in China’s luxury MPVs for a total of 58 months.
- Trumpchi New Energy E9 model has been on the market for 4 months, and the cumulative sales have exceeded 11,175 units.
- The number of users of GAC Trumpchi MPV has exceeded 500,000.
- In the field of MPVs worth more than 200,000 yuan, GAC Trumpchi’s market share has exceeded 10% for three consecutive years, and its market share exceeded 15% in September. Officially, it has become the Chinese brand with the largest market share in this field.
- In the field of MPVs worth more than 100,000 yuan, GAC Trumpchi’s market share exceeds 20%.
GAC Trumpchi ES9 (a plug-in hybrid model similar to the GS8) is now available for pre-sale, with a pre-sale price of 229,800 yuan to 269,800 yuan. The length, width and height of the new car are 5015×1950×1780mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 2920mm. It is equipped with a 2.0TM engine with a maximum engine power of 140kW and a maximum torque of 330N·m. The front motor has a maximum power of 134kW and a maximum torque of 300N·m. The comprehensive maximum power of the system is 274kW. The maximum torque is 630N·m, and the vehicle can accelerate from zero to 100 in 8 seconds.
The new car has a built-in 25.57kWh battery and a 56L fuel tank, which supports 3.3kW external discharge and 5.5kW vehicle-to-vehicle energy replenishment. The CLTC comprehensive working condition feed fuel consumption is 5.23L/100km. The WLTC comprehensive working condition power loss fuel consumption is 6.18L/100km. The September car sales of major car companies (as of press time):
- BYD sold 287,500 new energy vehicles in September, a year-on-year increase of 43%; the cumulative sales in the first nine months were 2.0797 million units, a year-on-year increase of 76.23%.
- Geely Automobile sold 170,500 vehicles in September, a year-on-year increase of about 31% and a record high.
- Changan Automobile’s own brand-new energy vehicles exceeded 50,000 units, Avita 11 delivered 3,083 units, and Deep Blue Automobile delivered 17,370 units, a month-on-month increase of 17.9%.
- GAC Aion delivered 51,596 new cars in September, a year-on-year increase of 72%; cumulative sales from January to September were 350,986 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 93%.
- Li Auto delivered 36,060 vehicles in September, a year-on-year increase of 212.7%.
- Wuling Bingo sold 24,650 vehicles in September, with cumulative sales of 126,174 vehicles.
- SAIC Volkswagen’s ID. family received orders for more than 20,000 vehicles in September, of which the ID.3 model accounted for 15,000 vehicles. The ID. family has sold more than 160,000 vehicles as of the end of September.
- Leapmotor delivered 15,800 units in September, and a total of 44,325 units were delivered in the third quarter.
- NIO delivered 15,641 new cars in September, a year-on-year increase of 43.8%, and delivered 55,432 cars in the third quarter, a 75.4% increase.
- Xpeng Motors delivered a total of 15,310 new cars in September, a year-on-year increase of 81%.
- Nezha Auto delivered 13,211 units in September, and the cumulative deliveries in the Thai market exceeded 10,000 units.
- SAIC-GM sold 10,002 new energy vehicles in September, a year-on-year increase of 168%.
- Lantu Auto delivered 5,010 vehicles in September, a year-on-year increase of 99%; cumulative sales from January to September increased by 102% compared with the same period.
- Skyworth Automobile delivered a total of 3,635 units in September 2023 and exported 1,420 units overseas, a year-on-year increase of 142%.
- Smart delivered 2,621 new cars in China in September and has delivered a total of 42,866 units.
- ArkFox Motors delivered 2,016 new vehicles in September, and the cumulative delivery volume from January to September was 14,501 vehicles.
- HiPhi Y model delivered 1,556 units in September, a month-on-month increase of 52.4%.
