TrendForce released a report today stating that by 2022, the annual shipment of AI servers equipped with GPGPU (General Purpose GPU) is expected to account for nearly 1% of the total server; With the support of related applications, it is estimated that the year-on-year growth of shipments can reach 8%; the compound growth rate from 2022 to 2026 will reach 10.8%.
The report pointed out that in the procurement of AI servers in 2022, the four major cloud vendors in North America, Google, Amazon AWS, Meta, and Microsoft, together accounted for 66.2%. In the domestic market, ByteDance has the most significant purchasing power, accounting for 6.2% of annual purchases, followed by Tencent (2.3%), Alibaba (1.5%), and Baidu (1.5%).

According to TrendForce’s analysis, from the perspective of server GPUs required for AI computing, the market is dominated by NVIDIA H100, A100, A800 and AMD MI250, MI250X series, and the ratio of NVIDIA and AMD Server GPUs is about 8:2.
TrendForce predicts that the compound annual growth rate of the HBM market is expected to increase to more than 40%-45% in 2023-2025.
