TPM, Secure Boot requirement files for Microsoft Windows 11 found in Windows 10

Microsoft Windows 11, a new generation operating system, has requirements for devices including TPM 2.0, Secure Boot, Virtualization-Based Security (VBS), and more, making some devices impossible to upgrade.

According to the newly discovered documents, Microsoft started paving the way for TPM and Secure Boot as early as Windows 10.

According to information found by Twitter tipster Xeno in the Windows 10 Build 21327 release, the appraiserres.dll file shows a description of TPM, Secure Boot.

Windows 10 Build 21327 is part of Microsoft’s Windows development Cobalt Semester, which is the same Semester as Windows 11, so it can be seen as paving the way for Windows 11 to be installed.

Microsoft Windows 10 22H2 will soon be pushed out for all users, and at the same time, Microsoft has made it clear in a blog post used to help commercial customers and companies deploy Windows 10 that the 22H2 version of the Windows Hardware Compatibility Program (WHCP) has not changed, and is even identical to the 2004 version. So you don’t have to worry about being limited in the new version.

Microsoft’s support for Windows 10 will continue until 2025, but the focus of development has now shifted to Windows 11.

Windows Central sources also say that Microsoft now intends to release major versions of Windows every three years, with the next release (tentatively called Windows 12) currently planned for 2024, three years after the release of Windows 11 in 2021.

Starting with Windows 11 22H2 (Sun Valley 2), Microsoft is launching a new “Moments” project designed to allow the company to introduce new features and experiences at key points throughout the year, rather than major OS releases. The word is that Microsoft intends to release new features to the market for Windows versions every few months, up to four times a year, starting in 2023.
