TP-Link Introduces Kasa KS205 and KS225 Smart Light Switches

TP-Link launched two smart lighting switches, Kasa KS205 and KS225 today, both of which have passed the Matter certification.

Users can use the Kasa app to control the Kasa KS205 and KS225 smart switches wirelessly via a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connection.

Kasa KS205 and KS225 smart switches can automate the management of lighting equipment, turning lights on/off according to user-preset times.

The difference between the two is that the KS225 has a dimming function, and users can use the Kasa app, voice commands, or manually slide the finger switch to adjust the brightness between 1% and 100%.

Both smart switches are Matter-compliant, ensuring the switches are compatible with platforms like Apple Home, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Samsung SmartThings. This universal compatibility effectively eliminates the need for multiple device-specific applications, significantly simplifying the user experience.

Two smart switches are currently on sale, the Kasa KS205 is priced at $27.99; the Kasa KS225 is priced at $29.99.
