GAC Group data show that GAC Toyota 2022 annual cumulative production of 1009265 units, an increase of 22.6%; cumulative sales of 1005000 units, an increase of 21.4%.
In terms of electrified models, GAC Toyota will sell 303,175 units of electrified models in 2022, an increase of 55.8% year-on-year. In addition, the total industrial output value of GAC Toyota 2022 will be RMB 150.17 billion.
Currently, GAC Toyota has formed an electrification technology line including hybrid, plug-in, pure electric and hydrogen-electric. At the 2022 Guangzhou Auto Show, GAC Toyota unveiled the fifth generation of “Intelligent Electric Hybrid” technology. In the future, all of GAC Toyota’s hybrid products will be equipped with the latest generation of Smart Electric Hybrid System.
In 2023, GAC Toyota will release and upgrade 12 dual-engine products to achieve the full range of TNGA models intelligent electric hybrid. bZ pure electric brand will introduce a new model developed by GAC Group, Toyota and GAC Toyota in the future. In addition, GAC Toyota plans to reach 60% of sales of electrified models by 2025 and 100% by 2035.
