With the arrival of November 4, Apple’s third-generation Apple TV 4K TV box is officially on sale. Due to time zone differences, consumers in Australia and New Zealand are always the first to get their hands on new devices.

The main new features of the Apple TV 4K (2022 models) include an A15 bionic chip with HDR10+ support, prices starting at $129 (about RMB 928), up to 128GB of storage, a thinner and lighter fanless design, and an updated Siri remote.

The A15 Bionic chip offers 50 percent more CPU performance and 30 percent more GPU performance than the A12 chip in the previous model, and it comes with 4GB of RAM, a significant upgrade from the previous generation’s 3GB, and is also available in 64GB and 128GB versions.

In addition to HDR10 and Dolby Vision, the new Apple TV 4K also supports HDR10+, and it’s designed to be thinner and lighter than previous versions, with a new Siri remote and a USB-C port.

Apple TV is $129 (about $943) for the 64GB version and $149 (about $1,089) for the version with 128GB of storage, a built-in wired network port, and Thread support for connecting home devices, making it more affordable overall than its predecessor, which started at $179.
