RTX 30 series had a number of models cancelled on the way to development, mostly different memory capacity versions, such as RTX 3080 20GB, RTX 3070 Ti 16GB, RTX 3070 16GB, etc.. Now, some users have revealed that RTX 3070 Ti 16GB is indeed available, and released a prototype card, GPU-Z screenshots.
It continues the standard public design of the RTX 3070 Ti series, with dual fans, three slots, 12-pin power connector, and the words “RTX 3070” printed on the back.
GPU-Z can fully identify the specs, GA104-401 core (limited to mining), 6144 CUDA cores, base frequency 1590MHz, acceleration frequency 1800MHz, 256-bit 16GB GDDR6 memory from Samsung, equivalent frequency 16GHz, bandwidth 512GB/s.
This is still significantly different from the RTX 3070 Ti 8GB, in addition to the same number of cores, memory capacity doubled, the benchmark and acceleration frequencies are 25MHz and 30MHz higher, respectively, memory downgraded from 19GHz GDDR6X to GDDR6, bandwidth is also 96GB / s less.
Interestingly, the RTX 3070 Ti 16GB was originally scheduled to rival Intel’s top model Arc A770 16GB, but the latter has repeatedly jumped the gun, and the performance did not meet expectations, NVIDIA is also lazy to make moves.
