The OPPO Reno 8 series is preparing for its global launch, and more reports about its processors are out. Just like the Reno 7, the OPPO Reno 8 series will come with more than one device at its launch. A total of three devices are to launch under the umbrella of the upcoming Reno series. Each of these devices comes with a different chip and a separate imaging processor.

According to Digital Chat Station, the OPPO Reno 8 series will come with a total of three processors. The top midrange flagship model will come with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor, this processor is yet to launch, so, we will be seeing the Reno 8 series after the launch of the 7 Gen 1 processor. The next model will use Dimensity 8100, and lastly, the base model will use Dimensity 1300.

One or more of the devices from this series will use OPPO’s self-developed image processing chip, the MariSilicon X. This will bring it in direct competition with Vivo flagship devices that use the V1 and V1+ image processing chips. Although this device hasn’t been released, the model using the Snapdragon chip appeared on Geekbench earlier this month. It showed off a few specs of this device along with a processor performance score. From the Geekbench appearance, we can tell that the OPPO Reno 8 with a 7 Gen 1 chip uses 8GB of RAM. Earlier leaks from stufflisting also show the storage and colour variants.

We are expecting the Reno 8 series to launch later this month, the exact launch date isn’t set. The pricing, spec and availability of this device will soon be made known to the public.
