The new Oppo A55s 5G is different from the one designed for the Japanese market. Unlike the Japanese version, this version opted for MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset for performance. The RAM starts at 6GB (LPDDR4x) and there is an 8GB (also LPDDR4x) version. Base storage is 128GB with the option to expand using a microSD card.

There is a triple camera setup on the back with a 13MP primary camera, a 2MP macro camera and a 2MP depth camera. On the front, there is an 8MP selfie camera.

The display is a 6.5-inches waterdrop display with a tiny hole cutout to house the 8MP selfie camera. It has a HD+ resolution, an aspect ratio of 20:9 with a 60Hz refresh rate. The fingerprint scanner is integrated with the power button

A 5000mAh battery powers the phone with support for only 10W fast charging. It will run Android 11 OS and ColorOS 11.1 out of the box.

Talking of the box, customers can expect to get a phone, a charger, a USB A to C cable, a protective case and other basics in the package. Buys can choose from 3 colours, Blue, Gold and Black.

In China, the OPPO A55s with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage costs 1,099 Yuan (~$172). Its 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage edition, on the other hand, costs 1,199 Yuan (~$188).
