The new HP OMEN 16 laptop features an improved heat dispensation system

HP OMEN 16

The HP OMEN 16 is a powerful gaming and productivity laptop. It comes in a capable AMD processor and graphics card. This gaming laptop from HP hit the shelves last year, but the company just released a follow-up that turns out to be more powerful. The new OMEN 16 gaming laptop adds a few features and raises the power of the previous OMEN 16.

As is true of gaming laptops, these are power demanding laptops. Both the processor and the battery of these devices are often over-tasked by users. Running power hungry games tires the laptop’s processor, graphics card, and battery. To cope with all the demands, gaming laptops use advanced cooling systems, so as not to overheat while in use.

HP OMEN 16

Finding itself in the gaming laptop category, the HP OMEN 16 series comes with a cooling system. But, the model just launched by the company has a few adjustments and improvements when compared with the already existing model. The new OMEN laptop adds an extra fan to the already existing four fans on the previous model, bringing it to a total of five cooling fans.

There are also new features in the OMEN gaming hub that helps the system monitor and regulate the power supply within the CPU and GPU. This technology detects real-time load on the system and decimates power between the CPU and GPU, hence ensuring a smooth gaming experience. By doing this, the new HP OMEN 16 gaming laptop increases the CPU and GPU performance by 32% and 18% respectively on their various benchmarks.

The processor and storage specifications on this laptop can keep a gamer in awe as to the amount of power it packs. Gamers using this laptop have a massive 16.1-inch QHD screen with support for a refresh rate of 165Hz. A 12th generation core processor with the option to choose between an R9 6900HX processor or an RX 6650M graphics card. It comes with a 32GB DDR5-4800 RAM, and an internal storage capacity of up to 2TB. HP adds a new white colour option with this laptop and it will retail at $1200.
