The new BMW 7 Series and the pure electric model i7 were officially launched in China today. The official guide price range for the fuel version is 919,000 to 1.269 million RMB, and the official guide price for the i7 xDrive60L pure electric version is 1.459 million RMB.
The exterior and interior of the new car are built with BMW’s latest concept. The exterior adopts a larger grille + split headlights, and the interior is built based on the principle of “Shy Tech” invisible technology, which is simple but not simple. The pure electric model i7 basically follows the design concept of the new 7 series. There are some differences between the two cars mainly in the details. The biggest difference is the use of a completely closed kidney grille. In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new BMW 7 Series reach 5391/1950/1548 mm respectively, and the wheelbase reaches 3215 mm.
The BMW iDrive interactive system equipped with the new BMW 7 Series is equipped with BMW operating system 8.0 and an integrated floating curved screen (12.3-inch instrument panel + 14.9-inch central control screen). The system’s data computing capabilities and image processing capabilities have been greatly improved. The “BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant” has a more anthropomorphic and dynamic visual image, and it will also support wake-up in the front and rear rows, add 20 new functions such as opening and closing doors and activate designated massage seats. It is divided into low-power and high-power versions, with a maximum power of 286/380 horsepower respectively; 760i xDrive is equipped with a 4.4T V8 engine + 48V mild hybrid system with a maximum power of 544 horsepower. The BMW i7 adopts the fifth-generation eDrive electric drive technology, equipped with front and rear dual motors, with a combined maximum output power of 400 kW, a peak torque of 745 Nm, and an acceleration time of 0-100 km/h of 4.7 seconds. The battery capacity is 101.7 kWh, and the CLTC standard cruising range is 650 kilometers. It supports DC charging with a maximum power of 195 kW. The DC charging power is 100 kW. It takes 50 minutes to charge from 10% to 80%. It supports a maximum AC charging power of 11 kW. It takes about 10.5 hours to charge from 0 to full. In addition, the new 7 Series provides L2-level driving assistance functions, and will support L3-level automatic driving functions in the future.
