According to the data released by the Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department, Tesla’s Model 3, Model Y a number of models will be on August 4 in Hong Kong again reduced prices.
Taking the Tesla Model 3 Performance Edition as an example, the current official website of Tesla Hong Kong shows that the price starts from HK$440,335 (Currently about 405,000 RMB), while the new price given by Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department is HK$387,875 (Currently about 356,000 RMB).
As a matter of fact, Tesla Model 3 and Model Y models have already undergone price cuts on April 15th. According to the statistics of major media, this price adjustment in Hong Kong is delayed because any change in the price of a new car must be approved by the Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department.
After the price cut, the price of Tesla models in Hong Kong will be the same as that in the U.S. and other markets, while the Model Y long-range and performance models will be reduced by nearly 11%, and the Model 3 performance version will be reduced by as much as 11.9%.
