Tesla V4 Superchargers debut in Europe, expected to launch this month

Tesla’s first V4 Superchargers will be launched in Europe in March, netizen @Fritsvanens took photos of the first V4 Superchargers in Harderwijk, Netherlands.

The charging stations have reportedly been tested by Tesla employees and are expected to support the 1000V architecture and be available for other brands of electric vehicles.

Tesla staffers told them that these V4 Superchargers will open this month. At least ten people allegedly showed up at the construction site yesterday, and they were reprimanded for taking pictures.

At first glance, the new V4 Superchargers look similar in appearance to Tesla’s 72 kW chargers and appear to be designed to be close to the Megachargers used in the Tesla Semi’s California factory, although they appear to be equipped with longer charging cables, making it easier for other brands to charge.

Currently Tesla’s most common urban Superchargers charge up to 250 kW, while the V4 is expected to reach peak charging rates of 300 to 350 kW.

To date, Tesla has completed and opened more than 1,500 Superchargers, more than 10,000 Superchargers, more than 700 destination charging stations and more than 1,900 destination charging posts in mainland China. According to Tesla, there are now more than 40,000 Supercharging stations around the world, with a 15-minute replenishment capacity of 200 miles (about 321.87 kilometers).
